Infertility and Subfertility (impaired fertility)

In 2004 The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared that infertility was a global public health issue and that both infertility and subfertility (impaired fertility) affected a significant proportion of humanity. In 2010 the WHO conducted a study which showed the burden of infertility from 190 countries has remained similar from 1990 to 2010 with no decrease in the last the last 20 years. It is not certain whether the study accurately records the issue or not is an underestimation or not. In the late 1970s in vitro fertilization (IVF) was developed by Robert Edwards

Clinically Proven Fertility Acupuncture

Clinical evidence states that acupuncture has a positive impact on the birth rate of subfertile women undergoing IVF/ICSI . Acupuncture should be started leading up to an IVF/ICSI cycle and then during ovarian stimulation. Treatment may also be provided around embryo transfer and shortly afterwards during the two-week wait prior to a pregnancy test.

If you are looking for an alternative treatment for fertility, I can help you. I specialise in acupuncture for both men and women to aid in fertility. Call me today for more details about my services.
